Many hands make light work!

To encourage more people to help at events, a new rule is being introduced for competitors in our three Championship disciplines.

During the course of the season each competitor must contribute to the running of an event by filling either an official's or marshal's role, or by assisting in the setting up of an event. In doing so your name will appear on the officials' signing on sheet. This must be done at one event in the course of the 2008 season. You are then eligible for all your points to count towards your chosen Championship. This rule does not exclude anyone from taking part in any SLROC event.

There is also no need for you to miss taking part in your chosen event to comply with this rule, for instance if you compete in the RTV Championship, then why not Marshal at a CCV Trial or Comp Safari? Course building at any event or Driving Day will also count.

It is hoped you will appreciate the need for the introduction of this rule. Many appeals for help have brought forward too few volunteers and a more direct approach now has to be tried.
